Vignettes is an interior design firm, and a retail furniture store specializing in designer home furnishings.
The company has built a successful interior design business under the name, Designer Services. They have also operated a retail furniture location under the name Vignettes for several years. The company is now ready to consolidate everything under one name, begin building a recognizable brand, add another location to their retail presence, construct an innovative and optimized web presence, and set a growth plan in place.
The fine folks at Vignettes have turned to Harvest for help with crafting this new brand, developing an innovative website, designing a unique retail environment at their new location, and activating a growth plan. We’re going to give you an inside look as everything comes together.
We’ll skip through the research and discovery phase and get straight into the fun stuff for you to view. We would also be giving away trade secrets if we opened the curtain too much.
Round 1 Logo Comps:
This round consisted of some scripted fonts that reflected the existing Vignettes signage as well as some new ideas and explorations.

Even though they have been utilizing a scripted font for several years, the overwhelming consensus was the san serif font that opened the door to a new icon. So, we took that and ran with it to begin building the foundation for the brand. The result is simple, unique, clever and flexible. Below you’ll see the primary mark and several icon variations which we’ll discuss more later.
