The owners of King Jerry Lawler’s Memphis BBQ Company were looking to stand out with a brand made for Memphis royalty. They wanted to be recognized for both their ties to wrestling and their Championship-quality BBQ. They hired Harvest to provide a full-service brand development, restaurant design, packaging design, website development, and marketing strategy and execution package.

Combine classic Memphis wrestling with a fresh take on fast casual BBQ. Produce a fully-developed turnkey product from the ground up. Develop a brand that fits true to its own voice throughout the entire experience, from the interior design down to the beverage cups, that can be uniquely duplicated for multiple locations.

The Result

Harvest developed a turnkey solution from start to finish, including full design of restaurant interior space, packaging design, branding of sauces and rubs, naming of menu items, development of internal management documentation, website with e-commerce functionality, and the creation of a custom brand voice and manifesto. The final look and feel of the brand pulls inspiration and original content from historic Memphis wrestling, along with the attitude of the King himself, Jerry Lawler. The brand was designed specifically to allow for simple expansion into franchise options, allowing an effortless and repeatable turnkey experience for each new location.
